About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Barista at On the Beach! If you are passionate about your craft, have bags of energy and a love of interacting with customers then we would love to hear from you.

Our coffee shop is a hub of activity, so you’ll want to provide a prompt service with quality beverages and products whilst maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment and ultimately be proud of what you deliver.

What you’ll be doing day to day

Acting in accordance with, and as an ambassador for, On the Beach culture and values; embracing a coffee culture and keeping it at the heart of everything you do.

• Create and warm and welcoming environment.

• Produce high-quality, hand-crafted beverages

• Ensure fast-paced, 5-star service at all times

• Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked coffee shop

• Maintain standards and have great attention to detail.

• Stock management including processing orders and taking receipt of deliveries i.e. milk and pastries, lunch options and core range products

• Produce weekly and monthly sales reports

• Perform daily fridge temperature checks

• Conduct weekly deep cleans of the coffee shop

• Follow On the Beach operational policies and procedures, including those for security and health and safety to ensure the safety of self, customers and colleagues at all times

• Complete paperwork correctly when required.

• Undertake any training as requested i.e. Food Hygiene
  

You’ll be a great addition to our team if you have the following skills, knowledge and experience

• Prior experience of working in a Barista role is essential

• Experience of using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

• A passion for customer service

• Ability to work well under pressure and effectively plan, prioritise and organise workload

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

1st you have a call with a member of out Talent Team, following this We’ll run a one stage interview which will be an in-person at our fabulous Aeroworks office in Manchester city centre.

Ways of working
This is an office-based role with full time hours, 37.5 hours per week, working Monday – Friday based on the following rota.

Monday 07:30 - 13:30
Tuesday 07.30 - 16.30
Wednesday 07.30 – 16.30
Thursday 07.30 – 16.30
Friday 07.30 – 14.30
with a lunch break 11.30 - 12:00 each day
