The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced PM / Snr PM to help us scale our flights booking platform. We want a passionate, data driven person who has commercial and/or technical experience in the UK/European flights industry; ideally both in both long haul as well as low cost carriers – GDS experience is a huge plus.

As well as being the subject matter expert in flights, you’ll be an innovator who revels in solving difficult problems – and is able to do so collaboratively as part of a team. Setting product/platform strategy, you’ll work with some of the smartest engineers in the business and will ultimately be accountable for delivering innovative, scalable solutions that add value to the business and our customers alike.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating across key functions and disciplines to set and deliver a clear, cohesive product strategy for your area. You will define the product vision supported by internal and external analysis
  • Support your team to set clear goals and key results, regularly check in on progress, learn and adjust course when needed
  • You will own and prioritise your roadmap - managing trade-offs between impact, cost, time to market and business strategy
  • Combine your product management and industry experience with insight to set hypotheses, test assumptions and breakdown complex problems into small steps
  • You will also mentor Jnr/Product Managers where applicable to help build an awesome product management profession.

About you

We’re looking for someone who loves data and has a background in travel/flights.You will have directly led products from concept to adoption, with experience in all stages of the product life cycle and preferably during rapid growth. You know when to employ different approaches to product management, and can balance lean-style MVP experimental work with focused iteration.

You have enough technical data knowledge to quickly understand your team’s software products. You’ll have worked with engineers to set requirements for data products in the past and you are able to collaborate and work with Data architects, engineers, scientists and the business in order to create the best product vision. You champion servant leadership style with the ability to build strong, effective relationships and influence senior stakeholders and teams.

Remote Working

Currently we are working remotely. In the future our primary place of work will be our Aeroworks office in the centre of Manchester. However, after a successful switch to remote working due to the covid crisis, flexible remote working opportunities are available; please discuss with the hiring manager during your application.
