UX Designer

On the Beach sends over 1.5million people on their perfect beach holiday every year, but we're only just getting started.  Our multi-award winning technology team has just relocated to a multi-million pound bespoke facility in the heart of Manchester and has ambitions to become Europe's leading online retailer of beach holidays. If you would like join this journey, we are looking for UX designers from different experience levels.

Join Our Team

As UX Designer at On the Beach you will work collaboratively with all members of the team including business analysts, experienced web developers, product owners and stakeholders from across the business to constantly push boundaries, innovate and deliver excellence. You will take the ownership of projects, gathering insights and you will turn concepts into delightful, award winning user experiences. Most of all, UX Designers here are free to explore new ideas and opportunities outside of the normal day-to-day workflow.

About You

You are drawn to complex problems and love exploring new ways to solve them. User Centred Design is at the very forefront of what you do, using data and analytics to support your design decisions with an understanding of the impact and benefit to users. You are comfortable explaining your thought process, able to take the lead with user testing and feel shivers down your spine when you notice bad UX. 


  • Participate in the discovery phase
  • Lead and clearly articulate your design decisions throughout a project
  • Collaborate with all members of all teams
  • Create original design concepts 


  • An understanding of UX principles
  • Very strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to assess data
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with natural ability to articulate and defend design decisions
  • An understanding of how and when to use prototyping tools
  • Plus the usual - Sketch, Adobe, InVision, Axure, wireframeing, bla bla bla…
