Travel Agent Advisor Job Overview

The Travel Agent Advisor role is pivotal in helping our travel agent partner’s book and administer great value beach holidays for our customers. 

The role provides front line support, going the extra mile to ensure contacts and enquiries are handled in a way that upholds our excellent levels of customer service, whilst increasing sales and helping to build great relationships with our travel agents and industry partners.

Travel Agent key roles and responsibilities

  • Take enquiries from a range of Travel Agents from across the UK, assisting with the use of the online portal and converting bookings on behalf of agents where these cannot be fulfilled online
  • Ensure bookings are fully realised and confirmed, whilst taking commercial responsibility for the profitability of the booking
  • Strive to achieve company, team and individual goals relating to sales targets, productivity, product knowledge and attendance/punctuality
  • Navigate and keep up to date with development of our state-of-the-art packaging systems
  • Maintain accurate information on the brands products, commercial campaigns and ancillary services
  • Effectively and efficiently handle any administration and operational queries
  • Manage post travel feedback, complaints and any customer service issues to support the continued improvement of the CPH brand
  • Where required, support with social media, live chat and inbox communications, escalating and feeding back where necessary
  • Build and maintain great relationships with travel agents, colleagues (including cross-site) and industry partners
  • Positively promote and recommend Classic Collection Holidays sister brand to travel agents, taking advantage of any cross-selling opportunities
  • Communicate and escalate operational issues and process improvements to the management team
  • Attend educational trips when required to experience the product first-hand, feeding back product knowledge to colleagues.
  • Ensure all work health & safety legislation is adhered to
  • Undertake work of a related nature or perform duties other than, or in addition to, those outlined above, upon request
Knowledge, skills & Experience:
  • Experience in an independent travel agency and/or tour operation, or similar environment  is desirable
  • Self-driven and results oriented with a positive outlook
  • Excellent spoken and written communication and customer service skills
  • Strong computer, CRS and administration skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team

Additional Information:

Salary up to £18,500 per annum plus commission, incentives and bonus. (OTE £21,000)

37.5 hours per week on a shift rota, including weekends

20 days’ holiday per annum, increasing through length of service
