Online Booking Coordinator

On the Beach are on the lookout for people who are keen to learn, ambitious, smart and above all bold enough to try new things. The role starts at a basic salary of £16,000 rising to £19,000 for those who deliver exceptional performance, demonstrate role model behaviour and are adaptable enough to thrive in several areas. There is also the opportunity to earn commission, with top performers earning in excess of £4,000 per year. You will deliver a fantastic customer journey not because it is expected, but because you care about people getting a great customer experience. We want you to have fun and show positivity whilst demonstrating flexibility towards the needs of our customers and the business. We trust you to take ownership of the customer and ensure they receive the very best attention possible. You will need to be both robust and humble at the same time. The role is based in Cheadle, South Manchester.

What will my role entail?

  • Processing online orders in the most efficient and accurate manner possible, assisting customers with their holiday booking needs.
  • Quoting up-sells and switch-sells where appropriate in a confident manner, handling customer objections and ensuring that all options are explored to retain the booking.
  • Keeping product and brand knowledge up to date while having an in depth knowledge of On the Beach’s portfolio of destinations and our supplier’s products.
  • Working towards daily and monthly targets ensuring that each booking makes the maximum profit possible.
  • Providing excellent customer service and promoting On the Beach with passion.
  • To be adaptable to change in a fast paced, fun business.

What experience do I need to be successful?

  • The ability to identify customer needs through effective questioning, identifying sales opportunities by selecting appropriate products to match the customer’s requirements.
  • The desire to deliver the highest level of customer service at all times by combining outstanding communication and rapport building skills.
  • The resilience to work effectively under pressure whilst ensuring customer enquiries, bookings and payments are dealt with in a professional manner.
  • Experience of dealing with inbound and outbound calls.
  • The ability to overcome objections in order to close a sale effectively.

Contact Centre opening hours:

  • Full time (37.5 hours per week)
  • Working shifts typically vary between the hours of 08:00 till 21:00 Monday – Friday, 09:00 till 20:00 Saturday and Sunday (reduced hours during winter months)
