Strategy: Take ownership for agile elements in departmental and company strategy, and operate effectively to implement them. Support team leadership in understanding the benefits of agile principles and practices, and in making decisions related to agile strategy. Provide coaching, ensuring adoption of agile techniques and practices across multiple product teams. Influence and direct the culture and organisational structures at On the Beach towards greater agility.
Leadership: Act as servant leader, and provide agile leadership and purpose to multiple multi-disciplinary product teams. Coach delivery teams in becoming increasingly self-organised and adaptive.
Community Enabler: Facilitate the formation of agile communities both within and between roles in the department. Help teams to use their communities to share knowledge, provide assistance/support to each other and identify changes and improvements to their environment and ways of working.
Continuous Improvement: Help to solve inter-team problems, helping them to work better together. Assist the delivery teams in using retrospectives to track current activities and identify improvements. Remove any organisational level impediments to the teams’ progress. Conduct regular health checks across all delivery teams and report the findings to both the teams and other appropriate parties.
Induction and Mentoring: Implement inductions into agile ways of working for new team members and new delivery teams. Provide mentoring to others in ways of working, helping them to develop their knowledge and skills in the agile process, and to pass on this knowledge to others.
Individual Development: Take ownership for personal development. Attend agile-related conferences, meetups and site visits – and share findings and new ideas with the department
