You are drawn to complex problems and love exploring new ways to solve them. You are constantly exploring the latest trends and ways of working. You are a big picture thinker who has an extensive design background with demonstrable experience of understanding UX principles and brand development. You have deep understanding of how to derive best value out of UX discovery, customer journey mapping and user testing in support of business strategy. You are proficient with Sketch, Adobe, InVision, Axure, BannerFlow, Google Web Designer (or equivalents).
You have significant experience in a management position(s), where you were responsible for building, motivating and leading high performing cross functional design teams. You have strong communication skills, and be able to convey complex and sophisticated ideas to a range of key stakeholders. You are an open and honest collaborator, who is able to work successfully as part of a management team.
Reporting into the Director of Product, you will oversee the design strategy and creative direction. As the Head of UX and Design, you willset the direction for the way the design teams work together and separately across departments. You will have ultimate accountability for brand design and identity across multiple brands, ensuring that a customer-centred design culture sits at the heart of our visual communications and digital platforms. You will drive the UX research/insight within the business and be evangelical about data driven design.
You’ll take ownership of the structure of the design team to ensure the highest standards of delivery. You will effectively manage a team of designers and researchers across different disciplines including marketing and UX. You will lead, develop, coach and grow design teams by organising them to drive improvements and maintain quality of all deliverables.
Own the creative strategy and vision for multiple brands and products
Ensure best in class brand design & UX processes around; research, ideation, wireframing, prototyping, final design, refinement and delivery
Drive Product/UX discovery alongside Tech, Productand other stakeholders
Oversight of end-to-end customer journey
Play a central role in the sourcing, selection and development of talent in the design function, ensuring that development plans and performance reviews are completed for all team members and helping to foster skills growth and progression wherever possible.
